Dub/Re-record Mixing-Stereo & 5.1


Hourly Rate for mixing/mastering is $100. There is a minimum booking time of two (2) hours. The time I spend on a mix and/or master is usually dictated by the quality and complexity of the source material. I usually spend between 3 and 10 hours on a mix.  **for a note about my rates, please click here and read Q2 in FAQ**                                 

Film & Video-Game Score Rates: Daily/weekly rate will be determined by the particulars of the project.   Additional time over 10 hours a day are billed at 1.5x the hourly rate ($150/hr).  **Important note** I will take one day off for every six consecutive days worked when working over a 10 hour work day. This keeps my health in-check, and assures that I stay fresh while working on your project.  Please keep this in mind while booking time against a delivery deadline such as dub-date.   

Assessment Rate is a flat $100 to be paid in full before assessment time is booked.  I treat an assessment just like an auto-shop would, and charge a flat rate while I utilize my experience,  specialized equipment and room to assess your track(s). If we determine that I’m a good match for your project, and you agree to have me work on your project, I will apply the $100 to the balance of your final invoice, otherwise, (like the auto-mechanic) I keep your $100 to compensate for my experience, time, equipment, and specialized room.

Emergencies or Unscheduled Quick Turn-Around Requests

Because I'm usually booked out anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months in advance, urgent/quick-turn-around (short notice) mixes eat into my personal and family time. In order to compensate, I charge time and half for mixes that have to be worked into an already full work schedule.   .

Payment Details

A 50% deposit for all projects is expected at the beginning of the mixing/mastering session.  Full payment will be due at the time the deliverables sent or picked up by client. 

I accept cash, check, money orders, PayPal (friends and family only), and Venmo  (**important: if you are going to use Paypal, select friends and family.**). Venmo, cash, money orders or check are preferred for those working with me locally, or Venmo for those working with me over the internet. My user-name for Venmo is Mike-Roskelley.  Paypal payments can be made using the email address (**important: there will be an additional 3% added to any transaction via Paypal that isn't made via family and friends**).

If you prefer personal check, please notify me in advance.  Any personal check returned for insufficient funds shall deem this agreement terminated immediately and you shall be responsible for the payment and any fees or costs incurred, including my mix studio’s $50 inconvenience charge. You will be responsible for any and all legal costs and attorney's fees, etc., required to collect payment for said check.


Booking and Cancellation

A nonrefundable deposit of 50% shall be required to confirm all bookings. Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice shall result in payment in full due for all sessions.  No further sessions shall be booked, and no materials will be released until payment for cancellation is made in full.



Signature by artist or artist's representative below acknowledges these rates and rules are in effect and releases Mike Roskelley and The Pod from any liability to any and all persons.

Should any portion of this Agreement prove to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall not affect the balance of this Agreement. This Agreement is guided by and governed by the laws of the State of Utah and Salt Lake County shall be the place of execution and jurisdiction.

Should any litigation arise between the parties hereto regarding the performance of this Agreement, the prevailing party shall be compensated for whatever damages are awarded, plus reasonable attorney's fees by the other party.
